    Cancellation & Refund Policy

Teams may cancel their entry at any stage prior to the Event. Cancellation must by in writing and emailed to info@godzoneadventure.com.

If a team chooses to cancel their entry (“the Cancelling Team”) their deposit shall not be refunded. If cancellation occurs prior to 31st July 2025 then the Cancelling Team will be refunded 50% of any entry fee paid over and above the deposit. If cancellation occurs after 31st July 2025 no refunds will be issued for any payments made by the Cancelling Team.

Teams are not permitted to transfer their deposit or any other fees paid to future editions of GODZONE if they are unable to compete in Chapter 12 – ‘Marlborough’.

Teams may with the written consent of the organiser transfer or sell their current entry for Chapter 12 – ‘Marlborough’ to another Team if available. This will be a transaction between the teams and the event organiser will not, in general, facilitate putting teams in touch with each other. The Team Administrator must notify Keren at competitor@godzoneadventure.com if an entry has been transferred or sold.

If two teams do not have sufficient members and decide to join together, this will be considered as one team cancelling their entry. Refund policy will be as stated above, no exceptions.

Teams may with the written consent of the organiser exchange their entry between the GZ Pure and GZ Pursuit Events. Any variations in entry fees must be paid within 2 weeks of the change being approved. All other conditions regarding refunds remain the same after a category change.

If any competitor or team is deemed not competent enough to undertake the event whilst participating, the whole team will be disqualified, and NO refund will be given. Details of expected competencies are be promulgated on this web site and in the Newsletters. However, it is a pre-requisite of entry that every competitor and team enters the event having completed their own due diligence as to the nature of the event and the competencies required to complete the same.

Competitors acknowledge that organising the event involves substantial fixed costs which are incurred well in advance of the event date. If the event is cancelled due to acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, pandemic or other similar reasons etc, the following refund policy shall apply:

    Refund Amount:

Competitors may be eligible for a partial refund of their entry fee. The refund amount will be determined at the discretion of the organiser taking into consideration the non-recoverable fixed costs incurred.

    No Additional Compensation:

Competitors agree that the partial refund as determined above, constitutes full and final settlement. The organiser shall not be liable for any additional compensation, including but not limited to travel and accommodation expenses incurred by a competitor. By registering for the event, competitors acknowledge and accept that, due to the high fixed costs incurred in organising the event, refunds in the event of cancellation are likely to be minimal.

    Failure to make payment:
All payments must be made by the specified due dates. Failure to make payment on time may result in the cancellation of your entry without a refund and your entry may be offered to another team. The organiser reserves the right to apply late fees or additional conditions at their discretion.
