Australian team Muppets are heading back to New Zealand this November to race at One NZGODZONE Chapter 12. They last raced One NZ GODZONE in Kaiteriteri at Chapter 5 which team captain Michael Phillips of Tasmanian Multisport Adventures says was incredible.
“The Mountain Owen Trek – absolutely amazing! There was also some awesome paddle legs.”
He says coming back to GZ the team is hoping to experience long remote legs with some special scenery. “It’s always nice to find a checkpoint in the middle of nowhere at GODZONE. As the Muppets, we have raced a few races together now and always look forward to the challenge of the course, standing on summits, seeing the dawn and our own personal challenges.”
Finding good food to eat while adventuring and making it to the startline are two things Phillips says are real challenges that the team like to overcome.
“We hope Chapter 12 in Marlborough offers a huge variety of paddling legs, some ridgeline treks and remote farmland riding. Love the idea of long slow legs for us old buggers.”
