Abby MacRedie and Aidan Nicholas are making ground for the next generation of adventure racers.
The two 18 year-olds reached the end of Chapter 6 at Frankton Beach this evening, part of T-E-A-M (52) and had an absolute blast.
Abby, from Napier, already takes part in adventure races, such as Hillary Challenges and Get2Go.
At the finish line she said that GODzone has always been an event she’s wanted to take part in.
“It’s always been on my bucket list, and an opportunity came up so I went for it.”
The T-E-A-M was Martyn Bowis, Julio Mau-Asam, Abby, and Aidan.
Aidan, from Auckland, knows Abby through the same adventure racing community.
“I thought I’d try something bigger and see how far I could push myself. It was hard throughout it all, but worth it in the end,” he said.
