As the name suggests the Pursuit teams are supposedly chasing the full course Pure teams but on Day Two of Chapter 6 the tables have been turned and three Pursuit teams are currently seeing parts of the course before anyone else.

Bob Mclachlan is showing plenty of veteran AR experience and style by leading his team Best Foot Forward at the front of the  trio. The team has moved through TA5 at 12 mile Delta and up into stage 6 of the race, the Alpine Trek over Mt Crichton. These guys have big hearts racing for a very worthy cause.

Right on their footsteps is team Virbac Animal Health led by Brendan Hickman. From Nelson and Taihape this team has not put a foot out of line since the start of the race and looking strong.

The 3rd Pursuit team is Silky from Nelson. As the first placed mixed Pursuit team from Chapter 5 Nelson these guys look very keen to try and do a repeat performance. They are racing in memory of their team mate John Harris.
