Lions Park Roared

Lions Park on the Lake Te Anau waterfront was a sight to behold this morning as GZ teams got into the first discipline of packrafting across the lake to a dam on the far left side feeding down into the Waiua River. For many packrafting is something totally new but all teams had their inflating skills on speed dial and made fast work of getting the boats up, across the road and into the calm lake waters.
While some teams could be heard shouting left, right, left as they paddled off (we don’t think that will last too long) most were too busy whooping at finally being on the journey.
