VOLUNTEERING – GREAT FOR A GAP YEAR

Paula Schech is spending a year traveling before returning to Germany to attend university. She’s never seen anything quite like GODZone, and finds it “quite fascinating.” She’d like to think she may attempt something like this one day, but would have to do a lot more training first. The best bits about volunteering for Paula is being part of such a major project, getting among the outdoors, and seeing the excitement.

Konstantin Stromel is also taking a GAP year before returning to Germany, and heard about volunteering at GODZone when he was in the North Island through someone who has been involved before. He loved handing out the maps at Registration, and seeing the excitement on the competitors’ faces.
