Jasmine, a young Te Anau local, was walking along the Lake Te Anau waterfront a few days ago when she spotted the action at the GODZone finish line at the Marakura Yacht Club. Curious to know what was going on she wandered over to check it out. Keen to get involved she volunteered her time straight away. She has spent two days cleaning the Barracuda AR Duos – it’s a grimy, never-ending task but Jasmine is cheerful in her work, “If I’m going to do something I would prefer to be busy.”

After she is finished here she’s off to help out with another event in town. When asked if she was inspired to compete one day she said, “No I’m not an athlete, but I enjoying helping out and being a part of the event.”
